Shooting From The HIp - A Very Candid Interview With Best-Selling Author Peter Thomas Senese

As a best-selling author, activist, and successful entrepreneur dedicated to making a positive difference in the world, particularly in the lives of children, I have developed a unique insight into many things.

Like all of us, we draw from what we have experienced and from what we know.

For me, this includes embracing my financial humble beginnings that placed true wealth from the inredible love and dedication of two amazing parents and a wonderful family, to an emphasis on education, to success on Wall Street, to fights with cancer, to success in the world of storytelling, to doing what I needed to in order to protect my child's birth, to chasing the cyclones of abduction, and in the end standing up to that storm and many that came after because in truth, I care.

Three More Abducted Children Returned Home - One Of Canada's Top Parenting Writers Interviews Peter Thomas Senese

When I think of all the interviews I have done so far concering international parental child abduction and 'Chasing The Cyclone', one published interview stands out for: the one that Jennifer Cluff, voted one of Canada's Top 5 Parenting Bloggers conducted with me.

Today, as I share this interview, I am thrilled to share that 3 more internationally abducted children were returned home in accordance to the rules of the Hague Convention. This was a tremendous accomplishment . . . still find it odd how parents who illegally take or detain a child or children in a foreign country without a court order don't think they're child abductors.

Nevertheless, today we celebrate, while also being reminded just how important it is to raise awareness of the possibility of international child abduciton.

One of the ways the I CARE Foundation has done this is by createing a grassroots awareness campaign with the devout assistance of some of the world's best parenting bloggers. In a short time, their reach and impact has been incredible.

In fact, speaking of Jennifer Cluff and the interview she conducted with me, several targeted children of abduction were not illegally taken because reader-parents of her insightful blog read material she posted about abduciton and prevention, and then took action to prevent this from occurring.

Chasing The Cyclone Has Been Hailed As A Book Of Miracles

Thank you for stopping by! As many of you know, I love being a historical fiction writer. My storytelling evolves around topics I find interesting and current to the social dialogue, including subjects such as religion, science, technology, capitalism, and parenting. In each of my novels, several of these issues are typically weaved into the story's plot, with the hope and intent to keep my readers entertained while also providing some interesting historical facts intended to accelerate each story's plot. Like any author, it is my hope to entertain my readers while at times also stirring emotions to create a social reaction the way my novel Chasing The Cyclone has played a key role in raising social awareness of international parental child abduction, including becoming the seed that led to the creation of the I CARE Foundation. Now you may ask yourself, 'How impactful has Chasing The Cyclone been?' Significant. For example prior to the activism created from Chasing The Cyclone, international child abduction in the United States was advancing at a pandemic rate for nearly 30 consecutive years in a row. Then Chasing The Cyclone was released and along with it came a diverse, wide-spread, and highly impactful tools and measures that have remarkably played a heavy role in reducing the rate of international parental child kidnappings in the United States by over 15% per year during fiscal years 2011 and 2012. God willing, the
efforts of the I CARE Foundation and other hard-working organizations will lead to another decline in the IPCA rate originating from the United States while also leading to a much-needed reduction of IPCA in other countries. As far as my writing there is one thing more than anything else that you may be interested in knowing as it is at the core of my storytelling: if you listen carefully, you will hear the voice of a father who loves his son more than words can ever express. U.S. Rate Of International Child Abduction Drops By 15% For Second Year In A Row

Since the I CARE Foundation's inception, outbound reported cases of international parental child abduction originating from the United States has dropped by over 15%. This is a remarkable accomplishment, particularly when considering U.S. abductions skyrocketed during the previous 30 years. The drop in reported cases of international kidnappings is clearly related to government and non-government organizations efforts to raise society's awareness of abduction, while also creating new laws and policies geared to protecting children: issues the I CARE Foundation has worked hard at accomplishing.
